SV5000 CESG & NATO Approved Degausser

Security Approved Tape Eraser

The performance of the SV5000 tape degausser will satisfy requirements for volume erasure of high-density metal tapes and cassettes. Automatically controlled by an electric eye, the reels, disks or cassettes are placed onto the wide conveyor belt where they are transported through the 4000 Gauss field.


The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has approved the SV5000 Degausser for security erasure applications.


Capable of handling 500 cassettes per hour, the SV5000 CESG degausser has an erase level in excess of -75dB for 1500 oe media and -90dB for 750 oe media. The conveyor system eraser provides an economical, fast and efficient method of erasing all forms of magnetic media.

In addition to its NATO approval, the SV5000 degausser has been approved by the UK government and meets specified requirements of SEAP (Security Equipment Assessment Panel) and the newer CESG standard for restricted or less for the secure erasure and destruction of information and data stored on magnetic media up to TOP SECRET level.
